XBOX Live setup for Xbox one Netgear Help

Hi All,

I have a Netgear DGND3700V2 for am trying to open the port forwarding for Xbox one.

Should I also do Port Triggering as well I have seen videos on youtube some ppl do both, whilst some of only one?

Not sure which was to go any help/advice greatly appreciated.

Latency on XBox 1

What latency are you showing on your xbox 1 when you go to detailed network check. I'm on wired connection with Virgin 120mb and getting 160ms and near 200 on wireless. Nat is showing as moderate, setup as a static ip on netgear 3700 router.

 

Need Recommendations for Modem/ Router (Or Modem Router Combo?) For Gaming and Streaming in 4K

Fuck Router Modem combos, don't like them, get your modem and get a dedicated router.

You don't need a high end router to do what you need. You could probs do an 80 netgear and get what you need.

I'm using Netgear WNDR4300v2 and i have a Nintendo Switch, 2 Xbox One's (one OG one S), a BluRay player, a Smart TV, 2 Tablets (one fire, one android)... It didn't cost much and it offers portforwarding, static ip setup, easy nat control with no limiting my nat on either xbox, and no collission issues with my both xbox's being on the network.

Check it out, might have a newer one out. I like netgear though, i jumped off Linksys when they were bought out they don't look great now, and i was having some shit times so i haven't tried them in years.

So, yeah that's all i got hopefully others will chime in this one isn't exp though and will give you dual band as well (that's your old connections, and N connection, no AC sadly). It even offers guest wifi if you want to setup something for when people come over and you don't want their device on your normal network (touching your systems).

 

Shouldn't need to do anything if UPNP is enabled ...but ,

Appreciate if you can provide a more detailed description of your problem, so we can have a better understanding of your situation, and why you need to manually forward network ports used for Xbox One traffic.

features enabled, the following procedure would be to disable UPnP, as UPnP tend to overwrite static forwarding.

 

you might also want to change the DNS settings on your xbox manually. tends to help make for a more stable connection
