Xbox live set up

Discus and support Xbox live set up in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; can anyone tell me how long xbox live is going to be down for.     can anyone tell me how long xbox live is going to be down for. Brought a xbox live gold membership for son for Xmas and still can't create a account so he can play his new online only games he got for Xmas.

    set up xbox live.

    Just bought subscription for Xbox Live. Sales person neglected to tell us we would need adaptor for wireless connection. So we tried connecting Mac to console with an internet cable to share wireless, since router/modem is too far from TV/console to try
    wired connection. Followed all instructions and still got error message between Xbox and network.

    We have Comcast internet. Router is Linksys. Not sure we used the right type of cable but it fit the laptop and console.

    Any suggestions?

    Setting up Live

    Hey there Nimble, you will need to go into the settings on your Xbox and remove some unused profiles that are still stored on it. You can do this by following these steps: Go to Settings > System > Storage > Select your storage device > Gamer Profiles, and
    select the ones you want to remove and follow the prompts to delete.

    Hi there,

    you can delete the 'created' profile without any problems, that won't screw up anything on how the console runs.

    If the console came with a redeemable code for that 1 month, you can use that on her account (when it is signed in).

    It is usually 192.168.1.1 on any internet browser, as long as that machine is already connected to the router. That works for most routers.
