Xbox Live Services Not Working!!!

First time for me...and may be my last as I moving to PS

 

Hello to all,

When stating the active service alert, as it mentions that downloadable content or digital purchases are experiencing service errors, is to also mention the content itself during this period will experience issues.

All content derived of digital origins are currently under the active service alert.

Digital content is not launching due the active service alert regarding digital content being affected in the areas of downloading and purchasing said content, and we understand that this may be frustrating.

Continue to follow basic troubleshooting as a fix/patch is rolled out, we appreciate the patience from all users and hope to see this service back up and running as soon as possible.

My xbox doing the same thing

 

Right at 8PM Pacific, I was able to launch Red Dead 2.

As a side note, that is the exact minute polls close in my time zone. I dunno, with the hard push to go vote, it got the ol' almonds activated. Feel free to ignore this.

 

I don't know the exact mechanism of what happens when you start a game however if it doesn't start during a service outage then it's likely that the console attempted to do an authentication check of your digital purchase and wasn't able to successfully
complete it most likely because the server or services it was trying to use were unavailable.

 

I uninstalled my gamertag from my xbox, turned off my xbox and unplugged it for 30 seconds. Then rebooted and re installed my gamertag. Now I can play games again. A buddy told me this is what he had to do. A little ridiculous but it worked for me

 

Forgot to say for some reason I had to start another game before black ops but all is running again.

 

It is pretty ridiculous that even if you have the disc or it's digital and it is downloaded on your xbox that you can't play. I'm pretty peeved as are others. It would be nice for an update then just the generic bs that they are spewing. I'm sure they
won't give anything out for the "inconvenience" for not being able to use what is disc or digital our property. To think they are pushing us all to go for the digital copies.

and those saying that having your xbox set as "home xbox" will work, mine was set to this and still didnt work

 

Same, i even deleted my account and re downloaded. Its a issue with xbox live. All i wana do is play rdr2
