Xbox Live Services Down?

I am u p and running as well..

 

So, I'm not sure if it's just me or a widespread issue but I can't sign into my profile on my xbox one. I get a error message say "we couldn't sign you in. Try again in a few minutes, or check your account by signing in to account.live.com. sign in : 0x87DD0006"
it's been over an hour since this started.

I checked my network connection, it's fine, I'm hardwired in and my nat type is open. I just can't sign in, which is odd considering I've been using g my xbox all day without issue. Only things that have changed today is that I updated a controller shortly
before this problem began. If the controller update is the reason for my problem, how do I remove it?

I live in the New England area of the U.S. if that's helpful/relevant.

Just an update on what Genesis has provided, it appears that Xbox Live core systems (ie Signing in) is currently down:

support.xbox.com/.../xbox-live-status

Its being looked into right now, so should be sorted shortly

Yeah, appears that the core servies are down. The status page is now reflecting this:
