Xbox live says im gold but wont work?

i brought a 1 month xbox live card and put it on about half an hour ago and i check on my account management and it said i have got gold member ship for another month but it wont let me go into party's or let me play online as it says i need gold, i even
got a email off Microsoft confirming i used the card. The only thing different i have done is typed the card on the xbox website instead of doing it by console but that shouldnt make a difference should it? if anyone can help i would appreciate it greatly

xbox doesnt reconize gold account

My xbox 360 wont reconize my gold membership when I go to account information it says xbox live gold but it doesnt work on my xbox

problem with Xbox live gold

it says i have Xbox live gold but it wont allow me to play World at War but it will allow me to play Black ops 3, and World War 2 and Fortnite but it says my account's Xbox live gold ran out but my mom bought 1 year of Xbox live
gold and i have both accounts signed in all the time so if u could help me please.

This may be down t a slight delay between the information being pushed from the website, to your console. A simple step should refresh your console with the latest information and resolve the issue. Please follow through with the below instructions.

1: Press the guide button on your console.

2: Scroll to the 'settings' tab.

3: Select 'system settings'.

4: Select 'storage'.

5: Highlight your storage device and press 'Y'.

6: Select 'Clear system cache' and then select 'yes' to confirm.

This will clear your consoles cache. Once you have done this, please restart your console and then sign into the account you purchased your gold membership on, and see if it recognizes you as a gold member by trying to join a party or play an online game.
It is odd that the forums do not pick you up as a gold member though, as it shows you as a silver user on your forum card.
