Xbox live says I dont have gold, try to buy it and it says I do have gold.

Ok, bought an xbox about a week ago with fallout Love the system, Fallout is amazing. However, I got a prompt at the initial setup to get live gold, which was odd because i thought it was auto renewed, but I had been gone 6 months to boot camp and
job training. I try the 14 day trial and then xbox realizes I have live and doesnt bother me again. I have been on Fallout exclusively until now so no use of my Gold. Now I just got Battlefield 4 and it won't let me play with my little brother. I did my research
and have tried:

Shutting off and restarting my system (have used power button hold for 5 sec, unplug for 30 sec, tried those 2 methods twice each)

Deleting my account and re downloading it (this just gave me the prompt at initial startup to buy gold followed by me entering a code and being told I have gold already)

Deleting my account, unplugging, then redownloading (same as not unplugging)

I plan to call support at some point if this doesnt get resolved by tomorrow.

Please help me. I honestly dont care if i have to pay the whopping $1 to get a month, I just want to play Battlefield with my brother.

Xbox Gold bought but not working

I bought the $1 Xbox Live gold for this month and my account says I have Gold but when I go into any game I have, it says I dont have it and tells me to buy it. When I click on it to buy it, it goes to a screen and says manage Gold and says I have it but
in my games, i don't. This applies to all my games.

 

I have 1year Xbox live gold. If i try to join a online game it says i have to buy Xbox live gold

If i go to my subscriptions at Microsoft and on my Xbox one it says that i have 1 year of Xbox live Gold . But if i try to join a online game it says i have to buy a gold membership. What can i do?

 

Did you try clearing your cache. If not try doing that.. i honestly dont know why this is happing to you but if you can't get this thing resolve i strongly recommend you call xbox support to get this thing straight out so you can

game online with your brother.

 

Yep, cleaned the cache, not that there should have been anything.

My xbox was brand new.

It's best to create a new thread with regards to your own situation. The OP's problem seems to have been resolved (by looking at their profile) as they have been playing online. It could have been a matter of simply waiting for LIVE to work itself out.

You're showing as a Gold member on the forums so if the problem does not resolve itself give xbox support a call.
