How many Xboxen do you have connected?

A sequential power cycle is the first step in clearing connection problems, and the order and timing of the steps is important to success:

1) turn off the Xbox and unplug the power supply cord from the back of the Xbox then

2) unplug power from the Netgear router

3) unplug power from the Cisco modem.

4) Wait at least 5 minutes then replug the modem/gateway power.

5) Wait 'til the light on the front of the modem/gateway which says BROADBAND, ONLINE, READY, or CABLE is on solid (not flashing), then plug in the router.

6) Wait until the WiFi light on the router is on; you may or may not use WiFi, but it's still a good indicator your router is finished booting up.

7) Plug in and turn on the Xbox.

Is your NAT open? Also you should have network discovery on, that should fix your UPNP. I would also suggest switching to a wired network. Make sure your ping is below 150 milliseconds as well, go to www.ping.eu on the internet explorer app and select ping.
Try to reset network configurations on your Xbox network to factory default too.

I'm having the exact same issue. I tried another hard drive on my xbox and played on a different account and it worked fine. I think it might be a hard drive issue but I'm unsure too. I need a solution!

How long has this been happening? did it just start today? My guess is the ISP acting up. Is your PC running slow by any chance? Also, how old is your Xbox 360? I know it's an old version, but how long have you owned it and played on it?

If it's a really old machine that's been used for years, it could be on its last legs.

I would like you to go through the following steps to clear the Mac address and then perform a quick power cycle on your console:

Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate Mac Address > Clear it and the console should restart. It would definitely help if you could restart the internet router while the console is restarting.

After going through the troubleshooting steps mentioned, I invite you to perform a quick power cycle by turning off the console and then unplugging all the cables. After 2 to 3 minutes, re-plug them back again, then restart your console.

In case the issue still persists, the next step would be to perform a reset on the console. To do so you will need to follow the steps below to perform a reset on the Xbox:

Settings > System > Console Info > Reset This Xbox > Reset and Keep my Games and Apps.

Note =>The "Reset and Keep my Games and Apps" option will not cause losing your games, but please be aware that you need to be completely aware of the email address as well as the password of your account before going for it because it will require you to sign in to the account.
