Xbox Live Rewards

Hello

I'm new to the Rewards program and I noticed there is a add-on reward now for spending $40 or more on a game add-on. I am planning on buying the $100 Forza Horizon 2 bundle that is the game and all the add-ons. My question is, if I buy the bundle, will the
add-on go towards the reward or should I buy the game and do the add-ons in a separate transaction.

I have Xbox Live Rewards too but I think the $15 Rewards credit is only good if you buy the physical copy through MicrosoftStore.com...?
