Xbox live rewards sync

here is the last of the convo I had with an agent.

I changed my email and gamertag last year and have since most all my rewards progress.

Convo was as follows

Upon checking here, I see that you have been an Xbox Live member for 3 years now and you have monthly Gold subscription. Your account is eligible for the rewards and yes, there is a possibility that changing of MSA and gamertag last March 2016 is the
issue here. I sincerely apologize about the hassle. I do know how much effort you’ve already allotted for this to be sorted. No worries, the best thing that you can do now is to raise this to our Xbox Rewards Team through their monitored forum. They will check
your account and migrate/sync the rewards to your new MSA and rest assured that everything will work fine now. I will now provide you the link on where you can raise your concern. Would that be fine with you?

Microsoftstore vs Xbox Store

I have Xbox Live Rewards too but I think the $15 Rewards credit is only good if you buy the physical copy through MicrosoftStore.com...?

When you changed your email address did you re-reigster for the program under the new address?

 

I was unaware I had to, I thought everything would copy over, my game licenses did, everything did except the rewards

 

Since the Rewards servers are separate from the Xbox servers, not everything will automatically switch over.

We do not see any disruption in your Rewards service caused by your Microsoft Account swap in 2016. It sounds like you may be unaware of our MyVIP policies. MyVIP has a recalibration every year. At the end of the year, we place you in your MyVIP rank for
the new year based off your eligible spending from the previous year, and set your progress to the default state. This happened in September 2015 and December 2016. Since you are a zero star member, you do not get payback Credits on your purchases. You can
check your current MyVIP level/progress at (Xbox Live Rewards).
