Xbox live rewards refunded?

I have been signed up for Xbox live rewards since 2012. I remembered about it the other day so I thought I would take a look. It said that I have made 29, 000 points since I signed up so that's gotta be some right? Then I saw it has been depositing. So I
went over to my recent purchases and saw that xbox live rewards money was there. It also said it has been refunded? I don't think that I have ever gotten money put into my account by it before as all of them say refunded. If someone could explain or check
it out that would be much appreciated. Thank you!

I have Xbox Live Rewards too but I think the $15 Rewards credit is only good if you buy the physical copy through MicrosoftStore.com...?

Xbox Live Reward credits can be deposited into your local currency after you get 1,000. You also get exclusive offers sometimes and can get thing cheaper. There are also offers that will earn you credits like pre-ordering games. more info is here: Xbox Live Rewards

Just to make clear as I know some people get confused this is a referral to buy gold. Not to sign up to xbox live rewards.

Rewards deposits are listed as refunds, but once they are deposited they are not taken back out unless you use them.

Our deposits are listed as refunds on your commerce page since that is the only category available for listing adding funds to a Microsoft Account. Therefore, our deposits on your commerce page will be listed as refunds with a negative amount, since the
funds are being added to your account, and not being taken away. We see that your last deposit in December was already spent as partial payment on a purchase of Final Fantasy XV.

I've received the same thing. I've received a "$10 xbox live rewards deposit," and two "$5 xbox live rewards deposit." I thought this was kind of odd, as I did not request these. Also it states on the transaction record that these "deposits" are also "refunds." Weird!!!

Will do, thanks for the help! One more question. Do you know why $7 have been refunded from Xbox live rewards? I’m just not sure why it says I have $7 in my microsoft account that was refunded from Xbox live rewards to my account, as at first I assumed it was for the purchase mentioned before, but I guess its not that so what may it be?

The MyVIP payback for your purchases is awarded as a monthly whole by the 15th of the following month. From our FAQ:

When will my MyVIP Rewards Credits be deposited into my Microsoft account?

The total Rewards earned will be calculated at the end of each month. Typically you'll receive your MyVIP earnings in your account by the 15th of the following month, though this is subject to the program's current deposit
terms. Be sure to keep an eye on MyStatement on the
MyRewards page to track your progress and watch your Rewards Credits total grow!

However, there is currently a delay with the MyVIP payback for April due to an issue affecting our members who are also preview program members. Once this issue is resolved, you will see your payback pending on your MyRewards page. Apologies for the inconvenience
caused by this delay.

Once you reach 5,000 pending Credits, you are automatically scheduled for a deposit, but you can request one manually once you have at least 1,000 pending Credits. You can earn Xbox Live Rewards Credit in two ways:

1. By finishing the offers located on the MyMissions page at
https://rewards.xbox.com/mymissions/ .

-or-

2. For non-offer purchases, you can earn Credits by earning a one star MyVIP level through purchasing at least $300 USD or regional equivalent of eligible content. After you receive your first star you will begin to earn a percentage of your eligible purchases
back as payback Rewards Credit. Pre-orders, in-game consumables, and subscriptions are not eligible for MyVIP.

Again, since we have not yet calculated MyVIP for April, those purchases have not shown up as pending yet. Your purchases in March went towards the Simply Rewarding offer, so you received Credits for those purchases that way. You cannot earn Credits for
both an offer and MyVIP payback.
