xbox live rewards referral - not able to find friend's gamertag to refer them.

Friends may not appear if they are not Rewards members or if they have already been referred.

There are multiple reasons a friend may not be eligible for the Refer-a-Friend Reward. Your friend may already be an Xbox Live Gold member, or have recently acted on a referral and upgraded to Gold. Also, the Refer-a-Friend Reward may not be available in
your friend's region. Please see the Terms and Conditions for full details. Additionally, keep in mind that it takes us up to 96 hours to receive and process new data, so if you only recently added
a friend, we may not have processed that yet.

I dont want to just wanted to post details for the program you are talking about. Make sure you meet everything they are asking for to get your points. Good luck!

In the email picture you provided, the message that says "Just download the game if you haven't already and play it for at least 2 hours*" provides a link to the FAQ, where it states:

Is there anything I should know about referring my friends?There are several eligibility requirements you must meet in order to earn Rewards for referring your friends, or for being referred by one of your friends.

• To refer friends, you have to be an Xbox Live Rewards member and have Xbox Live friends who meet the eligibility requirements.
• If you've been referred by your Xbox Live friend, you'll only receive your Reward if you successfully complete the offer by completing the required action within the set time period. You must also meet other eligibility requirements, like being older than
  13 years of age and living in an eligible region.

While members can refer and receive Rewards for referring any of their eligible Xbox Live friends, if you are not a member and want to receive your Reward, you must join Xbox Live Rewards FIRST here.

When you register into the Rewards program, the website will display a prompt stating that it can take up to 48 hours to set up your Rewards account. This is also mentioned in the registration email, which you have also provided: "Get ready- you'll be all
set to start earning through Xbox Live Rewards within the next two days." It looks like you registered late in the day on the 20th, which would explain why we did not register you until the 21st. Additionally, you mention being referred by a "MrMachinus" gamertag.
This is not the referral you were Rewarded for. You were referred two days prior by a "Nonfickshun" gamertag, which is the referral previously mentioned on the 19th. Since you were awarded for this referral, you were not able to get referred again by "MrMachinus",
which we can confirm did occur on the 21st.

What referral offer are you having issue with? There is no offer to simply refer a friend to sign up for Xbox Live Rewards.
