XBOX Live Rewards points used for Microsoft Rewards

I understand that Microsoft Rewards and Xbox Live Rewards are two different things. However, they are supposed to merge on June 1st. I redeemed 15,000 XBOX live rewards on May 5th

and have a total of 18,000. What happens to these points on June 1st? Are Vault Rewards different from Microsoft Rewards OR XBOX Live Rewards? "All current Xbox Live Rewards offers must be completed and you must unlock any new MyVIP Perks by May 31, 2018
23:59 UTC, as all offers will be ending as of that time." Does that mean I must use the 18,000 points on that date? They currently have not been credited to my account. What happens if I don't receive them on or by May 31st?

Xbox LIVE Rewards actually gives Reward Points, not Microsoft Points. They function the same save that they do expire.

What's the difference between Microsoft Rewards points and Xbox Live Rewards Credits and MyVIP Gems?



One Microsoft Rewards point is equal to one Xbox Live Rewards Credit. Microsoft Rewards points can be redeemed whenever you want for the rewards you choose from the Microsoft Rewards catalog, including Microsoft Store digital gift cards. Xbox Live Rewards
Credits are automatically converted to your local currency every two weeks and deposited in your Microsoft account, while MyVIP Gems could be redeemed for items in the MyVIP Vault.

 

They're scheduled to be deposited at the end of the month so unless there is an issue with your account, you will receive them before the transition takes place. Even then, the program is still making another deposit in mid-June for any credits earned in
the last half of May.

 

As far as having to use them on the 31st, no. That just means you have to complete any rewards offers by that date. You can use the credits any time you want but they do expire 1 year after they are deposited into your account.

From the FAQ on Vault Credits:

I claimed Rewards Credits from the vault. When will I receive them?

If you claim Rewards Credits from the MyVIP Vault, they should appear as pending in your account within 96 hours. Once they are pending in your account, the normal deposit process kicks in. Generally if you have over 5,000 Rewards Credits pending in your
account in the first half of any given month, that amount will be converted to your local currency and deposited into your Microsoft account on or around the 30th of that same month. If the Credits show as pending in the second half of the month, that amount
will be deposited into your Microsoft account on or around the 15th of the next month.

Please note you need at least 5,000 Rewards Credits pending to automatically trigger a deposit, though you can request a deposit for the next scheduled date as long as you have 1,000 Credits pending. Also, if you have ongoing issues with us depositing
into your account, such as your account not matching up with your billing location, you might want to consider choosing a different prize from the vault, as we won’t be able to deliver your Rewards Credits until the deposit issue is resolved.

That means you deposit will be a part of the end of month deposit and will not be pending in your account by June 1st. They should be currency in your Microsoft Account by then. If by "Vault Rewards" you mean prizes from the Vault, then that is a part of
the Xbox Live Rewards program.

page must be completed by May 31st, as well as any perks/MyChallenges you may be working on. As mentioned previously, your 18,000 Credits should be deposited as currency in your Microsoft Account by then, or around that time. That FAQ entry does not refer
to any pending Credits, just any active missions/offers.
