    Xbox Live Rewards Not Recognizing My Gold Subscription


    I have been dealing with a problem for a long while now and it has not yet been resolved. I have had a gold subscription for many consecutive months and none of my rewards had gold benefits. Xbox Live Rewards still doesn't recognize my gold subscriptions
    and fails to give me my Gold subscription bonuses for any of the rewards points I had been accumulating over the past months. Another problem is that my digital downloads/ purchases made from the Xbox live store have yet to deliver to me any return Xbox live
    rewards points. It is frustrating that my loyalty and dedication is not reaping me the benefits which are promised such as Xbox Live Rewards Points, an increased My VIP rank and My VIP Gems. Please help me resolve this issue.

    After reviewing your account, your Gold subscription for the last three months was a promotional, discounted subscription. As mentioned in the FAQ, promotional subscriptions are not eligible for Rewards:

    Xbox Live Rewards can only recognize paid monthly or yearly standard, non-promotional Xbox Live Gold memberships. If you have a different type of membership, we may not be able to recognize you as an Xbox Live Rewards Gold member.

    We see that you are not receiving Gold Status this month due to your subscription being a promotional Gold subscription for 1 month. Promotional subscriptions are not eligible for Rewards, so your free 1 month is not eligible. From our FAQ:

    Xbox Live Rewards can only recognize paid monthly or yearly standard, non-promotional Xbox Live Gold memberships. If you have a different type of membership, we may not be able to recognize you as an Xbox Live Rewards Gold member.

    Hello Vertical Neano,

    You can earn Xbox Live Rewards Credit in two ways:

    1. By finishing the offers located on the MyMissions page at
    https://rewards.xbox.com/mymissions/
    .

    -or-

    2. For non-offer purchases, you can earn Credits by earning a one star MyVIP level through purchasing at least $300 USD or regional equivalent of eligible content. After you receive your first star you will begin to earn a percentage of your eligible purchases
    back as MyVIP payback Rewards Credit. Pre-orders, in-game consumables, and subscriptions are not eligible for MyVIP.

    MyVIP has a recalibration every year. At the end of the year, we place you in your MyVIP rank for the new year based off your eligible spending from the previous year, and set your progress to the default state. This happened in September 2015 and December
    2016. Since you are a zero star member, you do not get payback Credits on your purchases. You can check your current MyVIP level/progress at (Xbox Live Rewards). Since you have no MyVIP star,
    you do not get MyVIP payback and therefore do not get payback at a Gold level.

    Gems were only created in October. It is not possible to reward activity before they even existed. This is mentioned in the FAQ. Additionally, as stated in the FAQ, we only schedule a deposit automatically at 5000 or more pending Credits. Since your pending
    Credit amount is beneath this amount, it has not been scheduled. If you would like to request a scheduled deposit, you may do so once you are at 1000 or more pending Credits. There will be a button on your MyRewards page.

    Will remaining Live Gold Trial days be added to a new gold subscription and can I get Reward points with a trial?

    As per the Xbox Live Rewards FAQ, trial memberships may not be eligible for Xbox Live Rewards. See here: "Xbox Live Rewards can only recognize paid monthly or yearly standard, non-promotional Xbox Live Gold memberships. If you have a different type of membership,
    we may not be able to recognize you as an Xbox Live Rewards Gold member."

    Purchasing an Xbox Live subscription while on a trial SHOULD add the remaining days of the trial to your subscription. I'm not 100% certain on that though.

    Since your subscriptions have been promotional for the previous two months, they were not eligible for Gold.

    Since subscription modifications are not handled by our program, we cannot assist. You may be able to contact Xbox Support for more suitable assistance with that issue (https://commerce.microsoft.com/). Per our
    previous escalation to the subscription team, they have already confirmed that your next offer being loaded after March 1, 2018 is a 12 month prepaid, non-trial Gold.
