Xbox LIve Rewards help

I signed up for Rewards about a year ago. After talking with Friends, I was under the assumption that you received points for any purchases through the Xbox. They have received movies, credit, etc. Just wondering what it is they
are doing to receive these rewards. I thought that this was a way of Xbox giving back after spending but now all that I'm seeing are missions I have to complete. My friends, not once, spoke of missions to complete to receive points, yet they have received
points through the program. I have spent well over $1000 on Xbox through games, movies, tv shows, and now UFC PPVs in the past year. Also, why not post the rewards on our home Xbox screen instead of making us sign in and jump through hoops to figure out what
it is we need to do. Giving back is great, but honestly it should be easier for us to understand the rewards program and how it works and access the missions if it is the only way to acquire points.

Xbox Live Reward Deposit

I have received an Xbox live rewards deposit for $##.##

I have been told by Xbox support that this should appear in my Xbox Live rewards.

I am unable to see this in my Xbox live rewards?

Please help... thanks

Hey there, was this apart of Xbox Live Rewards by chance? If so, you'll actually want to reach out on the Rewards Forums for help with missing points on your account. Xbox Live Rewards Forums

 

In order to receive credits, your purchases either have to be eligible for an offer on the site (one of the missions) or you need at least 1 star level in order to receive VIP rebates. Your friends may be receiving credits primarily through VIP rebates which
can make it seem like you're receiving credits for doing nothing.

You can earn Xbox Live Rewards Credit in two ways:

1. By finishing the offers located on the MyMissions page at
https://rewards.xbox.com/mymissions/ .

-or-

2. For non-offer purchases, you can earn Credits by earning a one star MyVIP level through purchasing at least $300 USD or regional equivalent of eligible content. After you receive your first star you will begin to earn a percentage of your eligible purchases
back as MyVIP payback Rewards Credit. Pre-orders, in-game consumables, and subscriptions are not eligible for MyVIP.

MyVIP has a recalibration every year. At the end of the year, we place you in your MyVIP rank for the new year based off your eligible spending from the previous year, and set your progress to the default state. This happened in September 2015 and December
2016. Since you are a zero star member, you do not get payback Credits on your purchases. You can check your current MyVIP level/progress at (Xbox Live Rewards).

For example, since the overwhelming majority of your purchases have been consumables for Madden, they have not been a part of any offer, and are not eligible for MyVIP, and therefore have not awarded any Credits.
