Xbox live rewards earn an extra star

I received an email from Xbox live rewards saying if I spend £60 I will recieve a VIP star so then I will be on three, so I pre ordered ghost recon wildlands gold edition for £79.99 on the 27th January, I have just received the same email asking me to spend
£60 to get a free VIP star to add insult. I looked on my rewards and there is nothing mentioned that I have spent over the £60 needed for the star. It says zero out of 60.

Wildlands is definitely in the list of games elagable for the reward.

I must have spent at least £200 this year already, so class myself as a good customer, I just feel like I've been kicked in the nuts by Xbox for blowing money for nothing.

I received an email to spend $125 during the month of February to increase my star rank from 3 to 4 stars. I spent the $125 before tax during February and was told the star would show up today, but my rank is exactly the same. Just wanted to make sure I
will still receive the star. Also to see if those purchases will count towards cash back as well or only towards the star increase.
