This is what a PS+ sub will get you (its amazing!) come on MS!

Dude, this is years of PS+ its been going on for a while and now Xbox will offer free games every month starting in july with Assasins Creed 2 and Halo 3.

Microsoft online infrastructure, is much more stronger than PS+, and itll get even better, and Microsoft has started giving perks as well. So PS+ is better because they offer free games, and discounts, but Xbox Live is Much more better in terms of online.

Xbox will have the same thing, multiple accounts can play online as long as one has live.

Wow. You win the award for first person to mud-sling at Sony in a thread about xbox live. And you are perpetuating a myth. I've been on PSN for six months, and the only "issue" is planned maintenance, during which you can still play online. In those same
six months, xbox live has had plenty of issues, downtime, service alerts.

Maybe stick to the subject of the thread in future.

PSN is FREE for PSP, PS Vita, PS3 & PS4. A PS+ subscription is required to play online with PS4
only.

 

yes they still charge u on ps4 for psn though u cant play online with out paying where on ps3 u can play online with out paying. as for xbox live down time its been down for me once and it wasnt bothered because i just put a blu ray on

PSN is available in 63 countries across a potential 180.3M consoles.

If the goal was to replicate Live's breadth, they have exceeded it.

For god sake people if you can't afford approx £50 a year why are you buying a games console in the first place. Do you go to the supermarket and complain that the food should be free because the did not make it themselves. The generation of gamers are fast
becoming of group of moaners that to be honest would find anything to complain about. Get a life if you can afford a console with games you can afford live subscription if you can't you should not have brought console in the first place

 

I subscribed to Live for 11 years. In my opinion the £40 (rrp) a year is good value for money. The amount of time and fun I've had using Live I don't regret paying at all. Also, the price has never gone up during that time, and a discounted price is easy
to find.

Wrong again. The free-to-play games are exempt from the PS+ requirement.

I think we all know why people buy consoles. Exclusive titles. People like to play games. Stuff like that.

"My generation" grew during a time where most developers gave gamers the tools to express their creativity. Map editors came bundled with the games. Most companies released game demos so people could try before they buy. There was a lot less fear of investing
in new types of games.

That is until, gaming market growth captured the attention of investors that have little interest in games.

Marketing departments took control and although I continue to see innovation and quite frankly, games are great and there are some really remarkable games that are leaps ahead of anything ever created, truth is, things will never be the same. All this is
acceptable as all media industries follow this pattern as they mature.

But, my problem is that some are turning gaming into a luxury

Gaming used to be a hobby that anyone could appreciate and I think we should all voice our concerns in order to avoid that. If people didn't voiced their concerns last year, the used games market would be quite different this year.

By the way. Stop paying for Xbox Live or PS+ means turning any console into a brick. I think we can all agree on that. But I completely agree with you. Since there are no alternatives we have no choice but to pay. But I fail to see the reason why you believe
people shouldn't complain about it.

 

btw just seen and i dont know how but the xbox one is number 1 seller on japans amazon lol
