Xbox Live rep on Xbox One

Hi Guys,

I have been on Xbox live for nearly 5 years and my rep has been rated as good, i recently changed from the Xbox 360 to the Xbox One and had a few games on Call Of Duty Ghost and came across a person on the opposite team that did not like how i was playing because
he was getting owned, so out of despite he reported me like a mere child, now my rep has gone down from "Good" to "Needs Work" which is ridicules not only does it luck disgusting Xbox Live no longer let you send messages to other players that are not on your
friends list and the matchmaking is reduced! I pay good money for a product that i can no longer use to its full ability due to one stupid child!

Can you please explain how the rep system works? How do i get my rep back up? Why is there an option to rate some one bad and not an option to rate some one good?

One thing I've heard about Xbox 1's rep system is you can't post good rep/prefer player. I get marked down on the 360 rep for quitting early and unsporting. Other areas include language and a few others on the 360 system. I'm sure M has posted a video explaining
how it works they did invest in the new rep system. I don't think that your rep should suffer tho, if someone blocks communication from you are blocks you if you want to follow them on Xbox Live. I've never followed someone using the Xbox 1's Xbox Live follower
system.

 

Will the Xbox One have the years on the side of the gamertag?

In the new Xbox one gamerpics it shows everything from who's following you, Who you follow, rep, gamerscore and the tenure. Notice it says "on Xbox", not "On Xbox live".

 

I do not think the rep system would stop you from sending messages to others, at least I have never heard of this before. It kinda sounds like you got a communications ban for some reason. You could go to this forum:

forums.xbox.com/.../4276.aspx to see if and why you received a com ban.

 

After thinking about this for a bit, if you were com banned, I don't think you could contact friends either. I wonder if the person you tried to contact had his prefs set to friends only. Try sending me a message and see if it goes through. My coms are open
so it should work. Give us a post here after you try that if the message to me was blocked and we will go from there.

 

When i message a friend they receive the message but when i message a person that is not on my friends list they do not receive a message and i have tested this out on at least 20 non friends and they all say the same thing that they did not receive a message
from me also id like to add when i do send a message to some one that is not on my friends list it does say "message sent" so i am really confused i will try messaging you now.

Not sure whats up as I did not get the message. I will try to check into this a bit more, but hopefully official support will reply or another ambassador might have and idea.

 

Actually, let me check my messages using my ONE. For some reason the messages that go to it do not always show on this site.

 

Its seems to me that if you get rated bad rep Xbox Live redistrict your messaging ability's and limit it to friends only until your rep goes back up, now this is just taking a wild guess but as i could message any one when my rep was on "good" but now its
on "needs work" i am unable to hmmm
