Xbox live region change

Hi,

I've accidentally changed my region from UK to United States and it seems that i can't change it back for at least 3 months which is obviously quite a long time to wait. Is there anyway i can change it back without waiting? Or please let me know if I can
anyhow cancel my recent changes.

Sorry but once changed the region cannot be switched back for 3 months. You'll have to wait until that time is expired until you can switch back again.

 

Sorry but that's not very helpful. I made a mistake because of poor user experience of the website. I don't understand why i should wait for entire 3 months just to cancel a mistake. I have plenty of digital content and xbox live subscription with automatic
renewal in UK. I live in uk and prefer to play on European servers and because of simple missclick I have to just wait with all of these for 3 months? That seems pretty ignorant to me. Do I get the new xbox live subscription now and then cancel again in 3
months? What about my uk subscription? Seems like really a lot of effort for no particular reason.

I don't really want to change my region - I just want to cancel the accidental changes i made earlier.

Is there any way to get in contact with actual support? (people capable of making changes) rather than fellow users who copy paste answers from the FAQ?

 

The migration page warns you of what you're about to do before you complete the migration and that you must wait the 3 months. So by confirming the migration you agreed to those terms.

You can contact support, but there is no guarantee that they can migrate you back. 1-800-4my-xbox

 

It doesn't really warn you of anything. It just gives you links to support pages. Moreover, it doesn't even tell me my current region. It just gives you a country drop down and usual legal stuff. I made this mistake because i thought my region was not uk
and when i selected uk it told me it's impossible to change. That's why i tried US just to see if it works.

Anyways, if the purpose of this support forum is to prove I'm an idiot - you just succeed. Can somebody try to actually help me? Thanks for the number but changing my region to US still didn't make me american and i have no idea how to even dial 1-800-4my-xbox.

 

well two things first there is multiple confirmation screens you cannot just click ok

there is no way to accidentally migrate as you have to do 3 clicks not just one

read before you do anything

I have the same issue. I had moved to Australia and my region was set to NZ. I didn't notice as I was still able to purchase DLC using my Australian cards. However, when I did go to change my account I accidentally picked America. So now I can't purchase
any DLC for 3 months.

I got in touch with a xbox support but nothing they could do.

My main concern is I used a single use code for WWE 2k14 and worried once I change to my proper region I am going to have to purchase a new online code just for that.
