Xbox Live Refund- recurring billing

I have had an Xbox Live Gold code for two years but have not been able to use it because I had recurring billing on. I misremembered the date which my subscription was set to auto-renew and did not cancel the subscription or recurring billing in time,
and got charged $60- which is a significant portion of the total amount in my bank account and I can't spare that much money on something I had a code to redeem for free. At time of writing, it has been 5 days since the auto-renew, and I want to cancel my
subscription to get a full refund, and use the code that has been sitting in my desk for two years. Is there any way this can happen?

You can cancel/refund at http://account.microsoft.com

Even with recurring billing turned on, you can add a prepaid code to extend your subscription. You can add up to 36 months at a time and not have to pay until that ends or turn off auto-renewal before then.

You can try to request a refund by signing in to https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders and then copy the order number. Once you have it simply go to the refund webform link here: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/forms/request-a-...

You can request a refund, but it should be noted that you are entitled to a refund of your most recent recurring bill if you cancel your subscription within 30 days of payment. This refund right is limited to one time per Microsoft account, per subscription product.
