Xbox live reedem code problem

bought a 12 month gold card at cdkeys and also the message, problem on our side wait a little, i v tried it 5 times allready, still not working

 

i phoned xbox customer service and they found out that the code was only for brasil, so i contacted cdkeys where i bought this code from, and they put that straight right so for people who 12 month live is not working and they are saying try again wait a
little longer, you probably got a code for the wrong region, so contact those where you got that code from!

You're lucky you got a new code. My code was apparently meant for Brazil, and I purchased my card from Groupon. They told me no refunds or returns, even though the listing on their site never mentioned what region the code was for. I guess I'll just have
to go buy another code later.

Okay, so I spent an hour or so online with Microsoft technical support, and I think I may have found an answer to this issue.

So me and this technical support person did some trouble shooting, and they believe the issue is that my Xbox Live gold subscription is currently active, and that their online systems don't allow you to have two of the same subscriptions active at the same
time. So, those of you still have issues should try your codes again once your subscription is up. Mine ends tomorrow, so I'll try again then.

This is just what they told me, and given that we chatted for almost an hour I don't know if this is the actual issue or if they were just trying to placate me so I'd leave them alone. I sure as hell hope it works. I spent some time prior with Groupon trying
to see if I could get a refund and its been two days since I heard anything from them. I hope this helps some of you, if not I don't know.
