XBOX Live Profile Issue

I have an interesting XBOX Live Profile issue on my 360. I keep getting knocked off Live, and when I reconnect I get an error that takes me to testing the network. After testing the network it reconnects and I'm good for another hour or so until I'm kicked
off again. I've tested my network, uninstalled and reinstalled the game (Black Ops 2 MP), I've removed and re-downloaded my profile (keeping saved games), and much more troubleshooting.

Finally I paid for a 1-month Live Gold card and created a new account. On this account I have had zero issues. Any thoughts on how to fix my actual Xbox Live profile\account?

DLC question

Are all the profiles on the same xbox?

If they are, it wont matter which profile you DL it under. If they are on different machines, you will need to use your kids machine to DL.

DLC is linked to both the machine and the gamertag. DLC can be played on all profiles on the machine that it was downloaded on without any issues.

You can also move the hard drive to another machine and play it on that however, you can only do that if you connect to live with the profile that downlaoded the DLC. You cannot play DLC by this method without being connected to live.

Xbox Live Connection Error

I tried to log in to my Xbox Live profile, and it said I couldn't connect to Xbox Live. Under the message it said the numbers "80151909"

It's been like this for about a week. Anyone know how to resolve this issue?

P.S. I've tried connecting to one of my accounts that doesn't have Xbox Live Gold, and that didn't let me log in either.

A simple step might be to unplug and restart your router or modem.

Also check your cable connection as it could have been bit into or cut.

Router has been restarted. Although my network has basically been ruled out as it works fine under another account.

Hi, I am also experiencing this issue! All network related issues ruled out, have also deleted profile / downloaded again, but now I have finally lost my profile and cannot download it anymore?. How do I resolve?

I would suggest that you download/recover your profile on a friend's console, then transfer it to a USB stick. Once you've done that, transfer it from your USB to your own console, and that should do it.

Are you on a wireless connection? That sometimes can be a problem with recovering the profile. If you are, try using a wired connection to recover. Once you're done you can go back to wireless.

If you're already on wired, I'm not sure what to suggest here.

Go to all settings>Network>Network Settings> Advanced Settings > MAC Address > Clear. You should be prompted for reboot.
