Xbox Live Pricing On Games !!!

hi All, I just want to raise the question of why are games priced such as they are on xbox live ? I and many don't understand this. When we buy from live we are not getting a disc, not getting a case and printed cover, not using taking up anyone's time
to serve us like in a store. All we are getting is a downloaded code of the game. I buy games from the live store because its so much easier and better when buying them ( not having to travel to store and pay for parking etc...) , and when wanting to swap
to another game there is no disc to swap either. plus the added fact the discs cant get lost or damaged. But before xbox one's first day Microsoft made it obvious they wanted us all to buy downloads from live. But you are doing nothing to encourage this
with the pricing you have on there. The xbox rewards system is good but not enough to get people to convert to buying downloads. As I am committed now to buying this way it is in my interest to get the pricing right for myself as I buy a lot. The master chief
collection is the only game on there that I have seen that is at a good reasonable price for what it is (£45). I do believe everything else ranged from £50 to £65 is well over what they should be. And especially when there aren't enough demo's to try before
you buy so you don't really know what your getting until its too late..

    :)

Saving the worst for last. Anyone else disapointed with the Call of Duty deal on the holiday countdown sale?

I think the pricing system for older content on Xbox live needs a complete overhaul. If a game is a certain age in a retail shop the price goes down. This is rarely the case with Xbox live.

I agree there could be better incentive to purchase a digital copy over a physical copy. Here in Canada we have retailers like futureshop and bestbuy that offer free shipping for purchases over $20 and usually next day. It seems like you are getting more
for your money i.e. case with artwork, and the option to sell the game when you are done with it. Games from retailers seem to go on sale sooner as well to keep up with competition or to lure people into their stores and hope to make another sale. I would
feel more comfortable purchasing digital dl's if they took a few more things into consideration with pricing. You can scrap the costs of manufacturing, shipping and retail overhead (they need to make their money too). I guess there is a lot more to the costs
of running the servers these games are on than we know.... hmm that same service we are all paying for, xbox live.

  5. My main issue is the pricing does not reflect the age of many games. I never purchase retail games off the marketplace for this reason.

Is it not possible for you to purchase physical copies from online retailers?. It is definitely a cheaper option and usually they are with you withing 2 days in my experience. I know you don't like to swap discs but if it is saving a heap of money a few
    seconds seems worth it.

Also there would be no travel or parking costs for you purchasing titles this way. I don't see the pricing structure changing anytime soon really.

Full price for a month of the game pass ultimate is the 10,99 you said...

That is xbox live + game pass ;)

So it's the best price ;)

Cancelling a pre order I made in November 2020 and canceled days before release.

Ok so I remember the game was priced at 89.99. I only see a transaction of 88.95 from XBOX LIVE in the same month I pre ordered the game. It doesn't specify on the name of the transaction, other than XBOX LIVE but that's the only amount close enough the original price.
