Xbox Live price is poor compared to competition

I recently bought an Xbox One. The limited edition Battlefield one. Well I did not purchase Xbox live but when I got connected to the internet I was offered a month for free. I am still under that trial but I might have to cancel it. PS4 offers online services
for a fraction of the cost and offers the same services I would need. $60 is for to much to be paying when the competitor is charging only 30$ or 40$ for the same thing. I am willing to keep my live account and even purchase a years worth but I need to be
offered a better deal than $60 because that is a poor offer compare s to what the competition is offering. Xbox please help a customer out and show me it's worth it.

Wii U's future doesn't look too good right now.

That's actually where Nintendo goofed this generation (in addition to poor advertising and catering to/trying lure third party the first year). It's not "not enough mature games" or "weak hardware", it's that they went the weak hardware route (compared to the competition) and priced their console high. Sony took two generations back to back with hardware that was weaker compared to the N64 and weaker compared to the Xbox and GC (some people say DC, but I don't know) based on pricing and a good library with third party support.Click to expand...

LG plasma displays are more or less junk when compared to the competition. Also, the HX929 is at twice if not three times the price point of your plasma, so it should definitely be in a different league.

Never ever compare online retailers such as Amazon or eBay to Xbox Live prices. It is not even comparable. Amazon always has the lowest prices.

Xbox Live's digital prices are dictated by the publisher. Not Microsoft

It is about Xbox, it's about the value and perceived value of Xbox LIVE and a Gold membership compared to a direct competitor's service.

Competition allows for service innovations and competitive pricing. A company that doesn't want customer feedback, which includes constructive criticism, is a company one should be extremely weary of supporting.

@Sipuli 5-10 is the competitive pricing window in my opinion. It is by no means overpriced. Most games fall in the 5-10 range when priced against new physical copies.

There is only a huge gap in prices when you compare a used physical copy against a games on demand copy.
