Xbox Live price hike

Am I the only one here who feels like the new price hike in South Africa is insane? I cancelled my subscription because of it. R169 pm for games nobody ever plays and the ability to play online?

Dear Microsoft,

I have already uninstalled Windows. I don't use a Windows phone anymore, because of NSA episode, no VoIP support in your win10 mobile SDK, you want to own everything I create on your OS according to your T's & C's etc... You are *** up a good thing. Next,
I'll get a PlayStation. Screw this. There is NO WAY you can justify a 238% price hike for a service like Xbox Live.

Why has there been a 5 pound increase in the game price? Was thinking of getting ryse but feel hard done by now i know its a fiver but still!!

Oh, I forgot to mention the injected telemetry in C++ native binaries when you create them through VS...there's that as well. You are losing me MS. I used to be a huge evangelist and I also code for your platform, but you are losing me. Started doing some
Tizen/Android/Linux dev last week. Thanks for pushing me away.

Hello, so I've seen this 12 month option and the 6 month option gone for some time now!! Not sure what's going on there. Within the XBox program they don't even give out 12 or 6 months anymore its always one month now. Over the years prices for things
go up. We might not agree with or like it at all but its the way of the company.

My theory is that Xbox Live Gold will be a thing of the past within the next year, which is why they removed the one year subscription. Probably so that people don't go buying the one year then they end the Gold service then people complain that
they still had time left and they want refunds. Since the Xbox Game Pass subscription is a thing and has been very successful, I feel like Gold will be leaving soon, probably with the release of the new consoles.

that would be corporate suicide, they would not force the customer to pay for ultimate just to play online, not everyone wants gamepass.

They will always charge to play online so it maybe a glitch on their side.

You can still buy digital codes for 12 months for other retailers. Usually it's cheaper that way anyway.
