    Xbox Live PC (Beta) - Appearing offline even though I'm playing games.


    I haven't been having issues appearing offline while logged into the XBox LIve Beta for PC. I have tried clicking on the "Appear Offline" button and trying to toggle it back and forth. It will not allow me to change my status. It seems the option becomes
    frozen. I have to force close the app in task manager and open the app once again to make myself appear online. My friends have tried many times to join my games in Sea of Thieves and they continue to have issues because they say it shows me offline even
    though they can see that I am clearly playing the game on their friend's list.

    Have you checked you have the latest update of Windows 10 and the latest app? Is it is in beta full support is not available yet and it could just be something that will be fixed in the next update

    Game said it requires Xbox Live, but I didn't know that and don't want to pay the extra.

    I did this on my PC, so even though it tried to connect to Xbox Live, since I am not on an Xbox console, I will be able to play online? I really want to be able to play online not just offline.

    to the person who said I cant name and shame I called xbox live before doing this post and they told me to do this as its the only way apparently

    yeh maybe appearing offline will help but I'm getting put into his games a lot even though I've avoided him

    Outer World on Game Pass PC can't load saves in offline mode

    But the game doesn't require me to be online to play - it's happy to let me start a new game while offline.

    It just won't let me load the previous save games that the XBox beta software has synced in the cloud, even though they are on the local drive.

    No, I realise that. It's just when I'm online, my friends look at my profile and it says offline, even though I'm set to appear online.
