    quick question, usually play with about 4 buddies, when one (let's say player1) invites the whole party to a game, it pops up to join, but right after player 2 sends an invite to all but didn't send one. any ideas?

    How to start an Xbox LIVE party

    It is very easy to start an Xbox LIVE party. With your party you can just hang out and chat or start playing a game, and have unlimited fun. Xbox live party invites :)

    How to start an Xbox LIVE party

    Follow the steps bellow:

    • First, you have to sign in to Xbox LIVE
    • Then, you need to press the Guide button on your controller.
    • Proceed to Party and then press Start a Party.
    • Press Invite players to Party.
    • You have to select the desired gamertag, and then press Send Invite.
    • You need to repeat the last two steps to invite more friends to the party.

    I still don't agree with the new party invite system, but this video does a decent job of explaining how it is supposed to work.

    Am also having this issue since the update. Cannot join parties, cannot invite people to party i've started either. Error message, 'can't connect to xbox live party'. Can join game invite and can invite people to game without any issues. Will try the above
    when I get home, fingers crossed.

    It seems to be Xbox Live service as the are online issues all over from party chats to friend feeds and even sending party/game invites.

    Are you able to invite her to a game BEFORE setting up your Live Party?

    If so, invite her to game, then you can use in game chat features or create your Live party at that time.
