    Xbox live party chat won't come out of headset


    Hi

    I have tried hard resetting the console, unplugging the power after. The only way I can get the chat to come through my headset is have the chat come through headset and speakers which is pretty annoying. It just happen one day, I went for a drink and came
    back and it happened.

    Could it be because I have my headphones on surround sound on my optical cable? It's pretty annoying I can use chat still but not how it's intended.

    Its not my cans too as I went a bought some a40s thinking my turtle beaches broke.

    If I am understanding this correctly your party chat audio will come out of the TV perfectly fine. You just won't be able to chat back in return without the Kinect or a headset.

    Man, Microsoft love to boast about party chat and how the Xbox One has improved "call level" clarity for calls yet won't even put in a headset with our $500 purchase? come the *** on MS.

    Let me ask a basic question: you realize that the "game audio" doesn't come through the headset, right? The only audio potentially coming through the headset is the other players' chat in a multiplayer game or in an Xbox Live Party. Is he in a multiplayer

    The microphone does not work in any games nor does it work in party chats. The headset is the standard headset that comes with an xbox purchase.
