Xbox live online services

My subsciption to Xbox live doesn’t expire until next year but when i try and play any game 0nline, it asks me to pay for an xbox live subscription. I’ve tried temoving and adding my account. I’ve also checked network connection and all fine. Any ideas
please?

Nintendo and Sony netwoks both go down for long periods on Christmas day. Xbox Live unaffected.

when will the Xbox 360 go offline for good??

Xbox Live doesn't have to be ended, the service itself is only for online play, and again those servers are controlled by the publishers. As long as their are games there is no reason to remove live, and there won't be a reason to just "stop live" as live is a service overall of xbox.

If you have xbox live, you have it, why would they just say "no xbox live on x360". And again, live just enables us to connect to servers. You're friends list and all of that isn't likely to be taken offline, again it's all based around one ecosystem for their online platform.

There is no need to "kill" xbox live in anyway for xbox 360, at some point you just won't get games that have server requirements because of publishers. At most you are a gold sub that can't play online because those companies closed their games off, but the xbox itself would still connect to the services because there's no reason to just cut the system out when the entire system is still online after you shut off xbox 360's ability to connect.

Again, not likely to happen. The service itself might not have much supporting it in the end, but i wouldn't expect the live service to stop unless MS kills the service itself. This way if you want friends, you can still see them, etc.

 

A couple of things you can try:

-Power-cycle your console (press and hold the power button on the face of it, holding it for several seconds until it shuts down; after 15-20 seconds, restart it)

-Delete and re-add your profile (this page will show you how)

I have the same problem and am absolutely furious with Xbox's lack of customer service and support.
