Can i use one gold account for two xbox ones in the same household?

Hi All,

Need some help with Xbox live gold and family account settings.

I have two Xbox one. I also have the Xbox live gold account.

I also have two children with seperate fortnite accounts who wish to play online together as part of the duo Comp.

I was informed prior to purchasing another console that I only require the 1 live account.

However everythime I sign in on one Xbox the other signs out. I’m using the same Xbox account which I think is part of the problem.

I have no idea how to rectify, I have rang both Xbox live support and Xbox tech support, I followed the tech support instructions but they have the sign in issues. Wondering if there is a solution or do I need two Xbox live subscription

don't know how it works for family members but look up xbox game sharing for all the details

 

If you have gold on your account, gold will follow you to whatever console you're using. If you're trying to share it with other people, you'd need to set one of the consoles as your Home console and they can access the gold from that console. If you're
trying to share with multiple people and they'll be switching between the 2 consoles too, you'll need at least 1 other gold subscription so the second console can be set as their Home console.
