Xbox Live Not Working?

Hi all, some weeks ago I tried to play Halo 5 with my Xbox One, as soon as the game started, it popped up an error about retrieving data files, so i went back to the dashboard to check what was happening and I noticed the box "Sign In on Xbox Live" (I don't
know if this is the text in english because I'm italian, but I hope you understood what box I'm talking about!). After that I realized i wasn't Online and went to check the network settings to fix this, it showed up that I was connected and no problem was
found from the tests! Then I shut down the console because I thought there were some problems with XBL Servers, but today I tried again and the same issue was still there. I can't sign in on xbox live but it all says I'm ok. What should I do? (sorry for my
english by the way)

Your profile may have a glitch in it ...from the home screen , go up to the top then left and sign out of any and all profiles , then sign yours back in...

I just tried this solution, it didn't work! I still see the box with "Sign In On Xbox Live".. AH by the way when I click on it, nothing shows up or happens, it's like I hadn't pressed anything

I have the same problem. I was watching Netflix and it went t a white screen and now I cant log back into xbox live as it does nothing when I press the buttons.

yours may need a little extra ...try this ....

go into settings and accounts and remove all the profiles , (make sure you have the email and password to get them back ) after you remove the profiles , shut the xbox down by holding the xbox logo on the console for 8 seconds till it powers down , while
it is off , unplug your modem and router for 30 seconds to clear them also , plug the modem and router back up and when they are online , turn the xbox back on , when it is all the way up . re add your main profile ...it may sit there and sync a little while
but all SHOULD be good afterwards ...

Solutions:

1. Turn off and unplug the console for 30 seconds.

2. Check this page to make sure you have gold:
https://account.microsoft.com/services/

3. If so, please remove and redownload your account:
http://support.xbox.com/en-US/my-account/manage-gamertag-and-profile/add-remove-account-xbox-one

4. If still it asks you to buy gold, please contact xbox support in a live chat here as they will need to refresh your gold as there's a glitch on your account (somewhat common):

I have the same issue and is a 12 month subscription, and when I check the subscription status says it expires until 2018, this is not good!!!

I have a similar problem. I bought an xbox live gold mbership for one mounth. I can download games for free but i can't play multiplayer. It says here that the membership expires next mounth.

Just tested it with no memory devices in and the same problems exist. I had a feeling this was the case considering there are 206 GB of free space on my hard drive. Anyhow, my problems seem to be similar to OneBgBdArtemis's, except they seemed to start with
some XBox Live Update from early April - I stopped playing for awhile and figured it would fix itself but it has not.

Tomorrow I will be bringing my XBox to my friend's house to see if it runs off his Internet. If it still has problems, which I'm assuming it will considering all the other comps in my house run fine off of the same modem and ethernet cords, then that proves
that either something is wrong with the XBox itself (unlikely) or one of the updates that was downloaded.
