Xbox Live not working with Borderlands 2

With the impending announcement of BL3, I've decided to dig up my game and upload my character from my Xbox 360. I put the disc in my Xbox One and renew my subscription for a month just so I can download my character to Xbox One. It shows my account as active
for gold on both the xbox and website... Every time I try to access online content in game, it says I don't have online access.... HELP PLEASE this is really frustrating!!!

Retried Downloading my profile 2 more times, and it finally worked. I am now signed into Xbox Live, and just connected to Borderlands 2 so it seems like it is working again now. Thanks for the help!

Hi raffyxtaffy,

I've heard people trying to play Borderlands 2 have this issue before but not for a while. If you used an Xbox Live Gold trial then I'd just make sure it went through properly and verifying that your membership has been added on by going to:

https://account.microsoft.com/account/manage-my-account

If you find out that it went through fine and dandy, it's always worth just performing a power cycle on the console just to rule out anything that could be happening by following the steps on this website:

Sometimes it does take a little bit of time for Xbox Live Gold membership to process so it could help by waiting a little while to see if this works too

Did you get Borderlands 2 this weekend? This past weekend Xbox Live was holding a free online play weekend with a full game trial of Borderlands: The Handsome Collection as well. If you purchased the trial then the trial period is up and in order to play
the game you'll need to buy a copy. If you've owned Borderlands 2 for awhile and it is just now not working could you tell me what the error message is saying when you try to start the game.

well I've got ALOT of complaining to do...My downloaded borderlands 2 wont work now...keeps logging me out of xbox live when I get to title screen.....NOT HAPPY
