Xbox Live not working on my console

Im game sharing with someone

I can access all their games but cant play online or connect to party chats. (Yes the person has Xbox Live)

Update- This is console related, ive tried removing the profile and adding it back. Ive also tried factory resetting my console but the problem persists. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Update #2- I think ive managed to find the issue.

When I view my active subscriptions from the settings menu on my console it says my subscription to Xbox live is passed due and the Credit card "needs attention" im cunfused because this was payed months ago and xbox live still works on my other xbox.

Thank you for taking the time to reply to this thread.

In this instance, what seem to be impeding your ability to play games online would have to be that past due balance for your subscription.

Have you had a chance to try using a different account on your console? If another account on your console is not reproducing the same scenario this would have to be account related.

If that is the case, then you would have to first
settle your past due balance and then make sure you turn off the auto-renew in order to prevent this from occurring in the future.

Thanks for reaching out to the Forums for advice on how to hopefully get connected. I understand how this could be confusing/concerning.

Do you have an open NAT type?

I suggest resetting your router while
powercycling your console as mulitplayer features are heavily dependent on good connection.

When you get the chance, give that a shot and let us know how that helped.

Are you receiving any sort of messages when you try to access multiplayer features of a title?

According to your message, the console can connect to Xbox Live, however, it just does not have access to multiplayer features.

Is this correct? Can you sill use apps and browse the Xbox Store on your console?

If you can elucidate on these details we should be able to provide much more appropriate troubleshooting techniques to address this.

Yes this is correct. I can still access the store but no multiplayer functions.

When trying to access multiplayer functions it will take me to a page to purchase Gold however this does not happen on my other console
