xbox live not working - I can't play multiplayer!

I thought I redeemed the 2 day xbox live gold trial that came with the aw day zero edition and when I log in to the game to play multi-player it says that the current profile is not allowed to play on xbox live. My girlfriend and I have gone through every
forum and faq we could find and we still can't get it to work.

I am a Gold member, I have been able to play all of my other games on XBL. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare gives me the message "Current profile is not allowed to play on Xbox Live". How can I rectify this problem?

Frustrating that I can't play multiplayer when I have already paid my money for Gold.

Same here, I have the exact same problem as you TumidDragon8663. I redeem the 2 day that came with the AW day zero edition but can't access the online multiplayer. 3 days ago I had previously used another 2 day code from when i bought Black Ops 2 and that
worked just fine. I was able to play multiplayer. That code expired and I used the one that was given to me with the new COD AW. Please help.

I also have the same problem as TumidDragon8663 & FilthyDirty14 been pulling my hair out! I used the 2 day code it was accepted but was unable to use any gold features. I ended up buying 1 months gold xbox live and was able to sign in for that evening then
the following day I got the error "Current profile is not allowed to play on Xbox Live" I just want to rank up , If anyone sorts the issue let me know PLEASE!

I have the same problem. Used a 2 day trial xbox live code from CODAW and multiplayer not working for me. Multiplayer works when I sign onto my 360, but with the ONE no such luck. I did use a previous trial from another game and that worked with no problem.

Please can these issues be sorted......

If I purchase a months gold membership will that work or will I have the same problem?

Yep same is happening to me. Sent ptivate message got one reply back, spent 600 dollars for this game and console to play multiplayer and over waiting for it to get fixed and a helpfull reply back

I've bought the French download version of the game MW3 on xbox live market, I installed the update and I can't play multiplayer.

I called the local xbox live support, they say it's Activision's problem !

When I call Activision, they say it's a problem with the update for the download version on xbox live market (other players told me that multiplayer on xbox live only works with the disc version of the game).

So yesterday, I bought the disc version of the same game and I installed it on the hard drive, i also installed the update (different update from the download version) and now, i can play multiplayer without any problem.

If I remove the disc from tray and I try to play again with the download version of MW3, I can't play multiplayer. You got it ?

The Xbox One disc will not work on your PC. Even if you install Windows 10 via Bootcamp, the Xbox disc won't be recognized. Not even on "real" Windows 10 PCs.

So to answer your questions:

1.) You would need to buy an actual PC version of Call of Duty.

As for Multiplayer: Only the crossplay enabled multiplayer modes will work. You can't play campaign, ranked multiplayer or tournaments.

2.) On the PC you do NOT need a Xbox Live subscription. But the person playing on the Xbox One S would STILL need Xbox Live (or have an Xbox Live owning Account set that console as their Home Console).

if you mean xbox live gold to play multiplayer yes i do i pay it yearly and i know its working as my other multiplayer games work
