Xbox live not working after i redeemed it

and it is telling me that i have it when i go to Services & subscriptions but i cant go online i tried removing the account and re-adding it but

Sorry to hear that you're dealing with this issue trying to get online with your console/account.

Since you already have tried removing and redownloading your account, then I would suggest this little trick that I like to do that resolves a bunch of general problems that you may have concerning your console. When you get a chance to goSettings>Disc
& Blu-ray>Blu-ray>Persistent storage and clear it 3 times. After doing that, go to
Settings>Network>Network Settings> Advanced Settings> Alternate MAC address
and clear that alternate MAC. The console will say it needs to restart to apply the change, so let it do that and then try to download your profile again.

If that does not resolve the issue, maybe a soft reset of your console might help.
It's a reset of your console back to factory settings but one that does not uninstall any of your games or apps and is a really good troubleshooting step for most issues.

Just make sure that before you go ahead with it, that you do know all of the sign-in information for any/all of your accounts(asthey
will be removed) and have easy access to your internet network.

Also make sure that you select the option denoted
reset and keep my games and apps.

Thank you for posting here on the Xbox forums. Can you verify that you have a subscription in your Xbox settings? If this is an Xbox one, then you can go to

1. Settings
2. Account
3. Subscriptions

If you do show that you have a subscription, try removing the account from the Xbox and then re-adding back.

Thanks for the response. I don't see my Xbox Live Gold membership subscription under my account.

It was working fine for a week after I redeemed the code, but after returning the online version of membership, I am not able to connect to my redeemed subscription. And I am not sure what to do.

Hi KaRzY69. Looking at your account, it looks like your one year subscription was redeemed on the 20th of last year, and just expired on the 20th this August. I am not seeing you as redeeming any codes in the last few weeks. Where did you purchase this code?
