    Xbox live not syncing & cant redeem code


    Hello,

    I just bought a new Xbox 360, set up the console, created an Xbox live account as per instructions, however while trying to download a free trial or the demo games, it goes back stating that need an xbox live account. In the settings tab, the account
    option is greyed out. Have been trying for a while, tried by creating another account and nothing seems to be working. The console is connected through wifi. All the updates were installed through wifi.

    Redeeming problem

    i recently purchased the "Gears of war ultimate edition" and Xbox live send me redeem codes for "Gears of war", "Gears of war 2", "Gears of war 3" & "Gears of war Judgement". i redeemed the codes for "Gears of war 2" & "Gears of war judgement" but i get
    an error for the "Gears of war 3" and cant redeem.

    any solution?

    Hey MagicJam7! It sounds like you might be using an offline profile instead of a gamertag. Try out these steps to turn an

    Offline Profile to a Gamertag

    Thanks for your prompt response, however doesn't appear to be working. I have tried the option of turning to a gamertag with the given instructions using my Microsoft account however returned a message stating that 'Microsoft account is associated with
    a different Xbox Live profile. Try a different account'. Later I tried to sign up by creating a new account, however at the very end got a error message stating that 'Sorry, this action can't be performed at this time. Try again later. Visit www.xbox.com/support
    for more information 80154058'. Please note that I got the same error message all the times when I tried creating the 2 new profiles earlier. It appears that the microsoft accounts have been created but not syncing well or whatever is wrong. Can you please
    help?

    Hey MagicJam7! I would suggest you head over to
    Account.Microsoft.com and confirm you are logging in with the Microsoft account you wish to use. Once logged in, head over to
    Xbox.com and log in with the same Microsoft account. This should log you in to the Gamertag associated with the account in the first attempt you mentioned above. At that point you
    can use that Gamertag as is you can
    change your Gamertag
