Xbox Live not letting me in

So I've been having LOTS of issues with this. Long story short, I ported forwarded my modem/router, and I finally got past the Internet portion of the "testing your connection"

Then I had to download the update, got another error, so I had to update off of my usb drive, then I went to test my connection out again. Sure enough it got past network, and internet, but it gave me an error at the xbox live portion.

Now I may be missing the part about changing my MTU settings, but I can't find it on my modem/router settings.

I've power cycled my modem/router about 34563847598374658 times, so that's not going to do anything, if you were hoping that would do the trick.

I'm having my buddy come fix it for me, hes got a degree in networking, but that could take some time, I would like to get this fixed asap, thank.

Could you give us some infomation on whats happening exactly so we can best help ? Do you get a specific error at all? When are you having the error?

Also try

Restarting the game

Power cycle the console

Reset your router and then console

Check your NAT type in network settings

Run a muitplayer connection test

If your more specifc on what the issue is your seeing we can help you better

This has become a common problem for some folks, including myself. This last xbox patch sometimes drops the internet connection despite it being live still. Best thing you can do (Which is what I do) is do a console restart. Its under your menu settings
under your system tab. Good Luck!

Hey there Pyro!

We could always try and see if we can find you a solution. MTU settings is often find under your router's WAN settings.

Could you provide us with a little more information. Please read:
START HERE! And post back in full detail (the bits that are in bold under the title "Make a post").

Make sure your router firmware is up to date (visit manufactures website and see if there is a later version available then your current one).
Note after you have updating the router make sure to reset it.

Post back with some more details.
