    Xbox Live not connecting to Window 10 version


    ok so i just downloaded minecraft windows 10 version so i could play with my xbox buddies but when i try to sign in to my xbox live account it just quickly brings up a grey screen then closes. does anyone know how to fix this problem?

    Have not received free windows 10 code for quantum break pre-order or Xbox one Alan wake codes

    I pre-ordered quantum break through Xbox live store, but have not received any of the codes for the windows 10 version or Alan wake for Xbox. It has past the 7-10 day window. Please respond.

    I had an update this morning, but I don't see what it was for. My main problem is when I go to multi-player, click on Xbox Live, a window pops up saying "connecting to Xbox Live" (anywhere from 3/10 seconds). Then when that clears, another window pops up
    saying "fetching on-line profile" ( another 2/5 seconds). Sometimes, after both these windows do their thing, then the "connecting to Xbox Live" window pops up again. Sometimes it takes 15/30 seconds, with all these windows popping up, just to get past the
    "main" on-line screen to get to the map or game screen.

    Thanks for coming to the forums with your issue connecting. Do you have an Xbox live subscription? You can also try the

    multiplayer solution     for connecting to Xbox live if the internet connection is the issue. Also, which version you trying to play, Xbox version or Windows 10 version of Minecraft.

    Also make sure that your Windows 10 is up to date (currently Version 1809). You can check that by pressing Windowskey + R and typing "winver" in the window and pressing OK.

    If you have an older version of Windows 10 (especially older than 1709), you need to update your Windows 10, as only the newer Windows 10 versions work with the Xbox controller connected via Bluetooth.

    Do you receive this error message only when trying to connect to Xbox Live on Steam? Is it normal on the Xbox app?

    Also, are you running Windows 10 or 11? And what version? (Home, Pro, etc..)

    Thanks for the reply! Unfortunately, you will need to click the install to download any digital content for PC.

    If you have a Windows 10 device, you can now use the Xbox app to connect to the Xbox Live service.
