XBox live not allowing me to play games

Three days that xbox gold live is denying me access. I've changed settings and rebooted but nothing seems to work. My membership is still valid. Why am i all of a sudden getting this message. Please advise.

Xbox one not allowing me to play games

hello , my xbox one is not allowing me to play any sort of games. I start my xbox, log in and connect to live. I go to play a game and after trying to search online my screen goes black and i return to my home screen. I have reset my internet twice, xbox 5
times and nothing. All my roommates are able to connect and play just fine. My laptop is connected as well. Any ideas? Thanks

Hi there,

please double check http://account.microsoft.com/services to see if the subscription is showing there. If the subscription shows, try the following steps

- Remove profile from the console (Make sure you know the account credentials for the account, since you will need them later)

- Perform the manual power cycle steps like mentioned on the following link, be sure to wait at least 60 seconds before powering on again:
Restart or Power Cycle Xbox One Console

- Redownload your profile If these steps fail, then its best to contact Xbox Support (via Phone or Microsoft Support Chat) at

Certain games are region locked by IP and you aren't going to be able to play any disc based games that aren't the same region as your console, such as NTSC (North America) vs PAL (Europe).

You will also need to have a GOLD Subscription, fortunately, GOLD Subscription cards/codes are NOT region locked so you can buy one anywhere and redeem it on your current profile.

Also noteworthy, Microsoft Points codes/cards are region locked so you cannot redeem/use them in a different region.

if you have moved over seas depending where you are you may need to get a copy of the game for that region your in.also you might want to make sure your account is gold to play online

Yep,you need to have a gold membership to play online so buying a gold subscription will fix the problem.

You show as having a silver account, I would check your account to be sure that your subscription has not run out.
