Xbox Live not activating.

I bought a three month xbox live card a few days ago. When i entered the code into my xbox, it froze for a second before returning me to the home screen. I didn't think much of it and decided to start playing some games, however it kept changing screens
to a page where it told me to buy gold/live. I couldn't create a party or start a multiplayer match. I checked my settings and it said i have a three month subscription till feb next year. So i reset the console but it still did not work.

Eventually, i decided to hop onto my microsoft account on my laptop to check my purchases. And on the Purchase 27/11/17 which was the day i redeemed it, it said 0 DOLLARS. So now i have no idea as my account says i have live but no money on it?

Please help asap.

Xbox live not activating

This is an error that occurs sometimes after going from a free membership to a gold membership. It's easily fixable by just re-downloading your profile, you don't need to clear your system cache, and you shouldn't have to power cycle your XBOX 360. Instructions
on how to delete your gamer profile please click the link here. Please scroll down the bottom of the linked page and read the
instructions on deleting the account. NOTE: When deleting your account please make sure to select
Delete Profile Only and not Delete Profile and Items (doing so will get rid of DLC/Saves). Then just scroll up to the top of the page and follow the instructions to re-download the profile. This will re-sync your profile with the XBOX Live
service and you should be able to join your friends parties and games.

Or you can also do what Smwutches suggested, that's also known to work, but if it doesn't go ahead and try any other suggestion .

 

Xbox live not activating

I just upgraded to gold after a long time of not playing xbox online. i purchased one month of gold membership with paypal, but when i tried to join a party on my xbox it didnt let me, saying i needed to upgrade. i turned the xbox off and signed in and out
and nothing has changed. what can i do?

 

Firstly it shows 0 dollars for xbox live on account history because you used a prepaid code to put the live in.

Secondly it sounds like your system memory thinks you do not have gold so if you try a power cycle hold down power button on front of console for about 10 seconds then unplug for a minute, plug back in and sign back in that should clear the memory and allow
you to get on multiplayer and party chat
