Xbox Live/Networking Problems

Ok so for the last few days there has been some seriously messed up issues with Xbox Live, and I know it's not an issue on my end as I have done all the suggested fixes, ran diagnostics on my network and connection and it is fine.

What is happening, well after a while of playing online games the *** thing looses contact with game servers and the Xbox Live servers and I then cant reconnect at all for a period of time. The problem is not just in playing games it's accessing messages,
friends list, parties and chat as well as downloading games and other content.

Now there was a msg/alert about this kinda thing the other day and that was ok, but then information we were being told was that this issue is now resolved ... well it is not at all. I'm tired of connecting, disconnecting, reconnecting and doing the whole
process over and over. All I want to do is enjoy myself and play a few games onlinbe.

Is there any other people still finding this happening? What can be done about it? What is the time frame on fixing this crap again, or will it ever be fixed?

if you really want to play games, I suggest you play before 7 pm pacific time. because after that, live goes all wonky and games are harder to find all of a sudden

If the server alert page says an issue is resolved it's best to powercycle your xbox so the cache get's reset and the network gets rebooted.

You can powercycle by holding down the powerbutton on your console for 10 seconds untill it turns off.

 

Thanks for the replies, but it doesn't matter what time of day I try to play the error occurs. I have also tried power cycling my xbox and modem but still get the same issues. Sometimes it works and I can play for a while but not least Ng after it drops
out again. I have tried so many things including not having my laptop connected with recording software, removing the external hard drive I use for storage, setting up with a wired connection and even having the console completely unplugged from power over
night hoping it would do something. So far today, 6 disconnections and counting.

 

Can you check if your NAT type is open ?
