    Hello, I just recently subscribed to xbox live gold. My son and I are playing COD ghost on xbox 360, but when we play multiplayer split screen he has to sign in as my guest in order to play online. Problem is that when I turn off the console and play the
    new day all his saved info is erased. Is there a way to create a separate account using my gold subscription and save both info while playing at the same time?? Thanks for your time!

    Hi there,

    a Xbox Live Gold subscription is per account, so you will not be able to create another account that can use that same Xbox Live Gold subscription. The Xbox One has the option to share subscriptions and digital purchases across the console via the Xbox Home
    console setting, but the Xbox 360 has not.

    In order to have the progress for your son saved, he will need to have it's own Xbox Live Account, the account itself can be created either via xbox.com or via the xbox consoles.

    I'm not sure if that (new) account can be invited by your account into an online multiplayer game if it doesn't have a Gold subscription, if that isn't possible then I'm afraid that account (for your son) will also require a Gold subscription.

    The problem is caused by the last update.

    You can erase it to play multiplayer in split screen mode.

    But you need the update to play with xbox live.

    Hello there!

    You can actually own an account for each child and play split screens, but multiplayer is the one that requires a purchase of Xbox live gold.

    Just to be sure we understand the situation, do both of you have Xbox Live Gold accounts?

    Split screening multiplayer changes on a game by game basis. Some games allow it, while others do not.

    I know with CoD Black Ops II, certain game modes allow split screen multiplayer, and some do not. For example, Hard Core mode probably won't allow you to split screen multiplayer since it doesn't allow parties.

    You may want to visit the
    Activision Support Site     and see if there is a list of exactly which game modes allow split screen multiplayer.
