Xbox Live Multiplayer should be free!!

Multiplayer should be free on Xbox Live since Xbox Live Silver members just want to have fun on Xbox Live without paying money just to play a simple multiplayer game I understand this because I am a Xbox Live Silver member too so almost everyone who has
a Xbox Live Silver account can be able to play a cool game there freinds told them about and they don't want to wait about a year to experience the greatest multiplayer experience ever. So think about it it is unfair to Xbox Live Silver Members. So who thinks
this should change,Because I do.

Unfortunately, I don't see this changing, but you do get other perks such as Games with Gold with your subscription, so it's not too bad. Plus, the money probably goes towards funding other projects at Microsoft too meaning the service as a whole will likely
improve.

multiplayer games run on microsoft servers also. every console has a paid online service and with gold you also get free games every month and servers have a cost to be maintained.

 

So if xbox live was free how would they pay for the servers,maintenence etc. ?

Sorry but xbox live is fine the way it is & should not be made free.

It's not like it's expensive anyway.

 

Well Microsoft makes a lot of money anyways plus in a Xbox Live Gold Membership there is Games with Gold,Cloud Saved Games,access to betas or demos of games so too be honest I think Xbox Live would do even better with multiplayer being free

 

Also it is expensive if you are on a really tight budget or they think that Microsoft did what PlayStation did whitch is have free multiplayer

 

Games with gold,beta's,demo's etc. all have to be paid for & that's some of the things a gold subscription goes towards.

PSN was free on the PlayStation 3 & to be honest it was pretty bad.PSN is only now starting to catch up with xbox live & that's because you now need to pay a sub to play on PSN.

My budget is tight but I can manage £20 per year for xbox live

 

But if Xbox Live truly cared about there loyal fans then they would make Multiplayer free

I've been with xbox & xbox live since 2003 & do not expect or want live to be free.

I've been getting my groceries from the same supermarket for the past 8 years,does that mean I should ask to get my shopping for free now?

Face it,live is never going to be free & i'm glad.

You'll be asking for a very very long time,xbox live IS NOT going to be made free for many many years,if at all.

Either pay the tiny fee for live or don't,coming on to the forums & moaning about won't change anything.

 

Xbox Live is completely free for Windows 10 users. Those PC elitists get to enjoy the same exact service we console peasants have to pay for. If paying is sooooo necessary for the servers to run well, why are PC users exempt from it? We are being scammed
by Microsoft. Nothing more or less. They only still charge us because we let them. Because we're stupid enough to think it's necessary for service quality. We are peasants buying snake oil from Microsoft, it's completely pointless. Make XBL free for all of
your devices. Right. Now... You can't charge one group for something and give it to another for free.

OP I could care less if it were free or not as I no longer play online, and only kept Gold for GwG.

Although I must say there was a time in history when the unwritten rule was. If it contained ads, it was free for everyone.

Ah the good ol days.

If I go through the tabs on my 360, there is at least 2 ads per tab. So MS ad $ are there whether you're Gold or no.

 

I belive that multilayer should be available to users using Xbox Live Silver and xbox should do things patch NOW!!!!!
