Discus and support XBox Live MS 10 in XBoX on Windows to solve the problem; Call of Duty appears in the "recently played" list for my 9 year olds account.     Call of Duty appears in the "recently played" list for my 9 year olds account. We do not own Call of Duty (it is not in his or anyones "my games"). Why does it appear? Who might be playing it? How do I make it go away?

    As stated above, he may be game sharing with a friend has played it so it would show. To remove it from the list if you looking at the recently played you can hit start key on the controller to show additional options and should be able to hide / remove
    from profile.

    And xbox games for windows 10 don't run on steam they use xbox live

    Actually Forza uses the Xbox Live content filter system which Turn 10 has no control over, only MS does.
