Xbox live migration and games with gold

Good morning everyone

I have a problem today I migrated my account to the US from another region and then I proceeded to download one of the games with gold on my xbox one but the xbox and the site(xbox.com) do not recognize That I had a 12Month prepaid membership before migration
and now I cant download any games with gold

For the best experience with live your account country and actual country must match

If it doesn't you must either create a new gold account with the proper region or use the migrAtion tool

Immediate results is new account

Migration can take unto 30 days

If you do not live in an xbox live country it will not matter anyways

Now what region did you migrated t?

If any non Xbox one live region it won't work as not all Xbox live regions are one regions

If you migrated to a non Xbox live region it won't work either

Also prepaid memberships and currency don't transfer over

Currency doesn't transfer over but a gold subscription does.

It won't transfer if it's not a live supported country.

When did you change region & what region did you change it to?

Do you live in the region you've changed your account to?

i also have question about game pass. My subscription for gold just renewed this month. I have a promotional code for one month of game pass ultimate. Now in the game pass faq it says when subscribing to game pass the account is upgraded and all the remaining
gold subscription migrated over. So my question is if i cancel game pass after one month will i go back to xbox live gold or do i need to resubscribe.

Hello welcome to the forums! In this case if you have a active Xbox Live Gold membership your subscription will migrate to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. So in this case you will lose your Xbox Live Gold and when your Xbox GamePass Ultimate expire you will need
to resubscribe again.

plus remember if for example you have 12 months of Xbox Live Gold, when you migrate your subscription the system will tell you how many months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate you will get!

As it states before you complete a region migration, if you migrate to a region that is not supported by Live, your gold will not migrate with you. Malaysia is not a supported country.

I've never migrated my account because ive always lived in the same region but I'm ase uming your Gold would move too if you ever moved. I'm sure there are certain locks on certains games. Hopefully the link helps you.

Is it possible to migrate the gamertag and gold membership to a different live account on xbox 360 and than it will be also visible on xbox one?

You don't need to create a new account. You can migrate your existing account by following the steps here: https://support.xbox.com/my-account/microsoft-account/update-microsoft-account-country-region

Migrating account also migrates your games if avaialable in that region, Xbox live gold and game pass subscriptions, if you were subscribed.
