XBox Live Mic Icon

To clarify my issue for comparison. I can hear other people with the Xbox One Chat Headset. They cannot hear me. In addition the mic icon in the Xbox Live Party Chat Menu is ALWAYS ON regardless of whether or not the mic is plugged in or the controller is
on or off. The mic icon is ALWAYS ON.

It may be due to the configuration you have in your account, but it may also be because that profile is banned from voice chat

Could you please provide a basic description of your setup? I'm sure you've tried resetting everything, but another source for the problem might be a power issue. Xbox controllers sometimes have interference when the console isn't receiving enough power.
I had a similar problem, and I resolved it by unplugging my Xbox from my power outlet manager, and plugged it directly into the wall outlet. It solved the problem instantly.

Have to tried Setting up a headset Adapter and also Updating
the controller Firmware?

The adapter bypasses the 3.5 mm contoller socket and there is a recent release of firmware update.

Thanks for coming to the forums. If you are showing the Mic symbol with line through it on the home screen. This means the mic is not being detected. We recommend trying to

update the controller with the headset plugged in.
