    Xbox live lost on Family share


    Hi All,

    My brother and I were sharing xbox live and games on two gamer tags with xbox home/family (main account is brothers and sub account mine). Signed in on a friends console to play a game purchased online. This resulted in me losing xbox live shared on my gamer
    tag (sub account). How do I get it back?

    Xbox live lost on Family share

    Sharing only works on the Home console. So if your brother is the one who purchased Live, you will only have access while you're using his Home console.

    @Randver I've dug into Xbox One Family Share and the Steam Family share. The Xbox One was far more flexible and seemed worthwhile but you think MS had a monopoly with the original plan so you're basically a lost cause in this discussion.

    No, nothing would be lost from the individual accounts. But, family packs are ending in the next few weeks so that the Xbox One's family sharing feature can start being used.
