    Xbox live keeps disconnecting me every 5-7 min.


    I've been getting frequent connection drops averaging between every 10-30 minutes at a time, 4 days straight as of this moment, not JUST playing multiplayer games (happens when I connect to a network via live on solo play capable games, such as Dragon Age
    and Diablo 3 RoS) and it doesn't help that I even updated the firmware on my wireless device I connect to. Is there any word on how/when they intend to have this issue fixed? I'm not "made" of money and I'd appreciate my college budget being well spent, not
    wasted on lazy network management slackers.

    I'm strongly considering filing a complaint to my local State Attorney General about how we're being ripped off by being charged for a service that isn't being given proper network/security maintenance in order to even use to its fullest.

    Xbox live keeps disconnecting me every 5-7 min.

    I keep getting disconnect from xbox live. Every 5 min. How the heck can I play destiny?

    All ports are forwarding directly to the xbox.

    No UPnP. Checkpoint firewall since I work in IT.

    What else can I do?

    Yes only multiplayer games. I put the PC in the DMZ which means that there is no firewall between the XBOX 360 and XBOX live. XBOX live really needs to get someone that know how networks work and get them to troubleshoot their network and applications. Compuware
    Dynatrace is good at breaking down each application / transaction within their network. They should look into it so they can solve this issue. Heck even Wireshark is going to give them a clue as to why everyone is DC'ing.

    Has been happening to a TON of people. Particularly on 360. It's super annoying and makes me wonder if Xbone got allocated preference so it drops 360s.

    To confirm something, you don't get disconnected outside of online interaction correct? Like watching Netflix?

    You're only getting disconnected when doing something involving the servers for multiplayer? I noticed this happened in almost any game I tried to play multiplayer on, but I wouldn't get the "Disconnected from Xbox Live" if I played the campaign.

    Have you tried power cycling your router/modem (unplugging the device, leaving it for 15-20 seconds and then plugging it back in)?
