Xbox live issues....I'm a a dumb newb.

Hi!! I was trying to join xbox live cause I can get a free trial for one month and I did then when I got it I wanted to change my gamertag....so I did on my computer and it didn't change on my xbox 360 so but when try to sign in it says Sorry you can't sign
into this profile fix it by download it again. What should I do? Do i have to delete my profile on the console and account?

Yo BracingOlive63!

We have some pretty easy steps to run through for this! If you press the guide button on the Xbox 360 controller (the Xbox button in the center) the guide will pop up. If you scroll down to the option to download your profile you can re-enter your e-mail
and password which should re-download your profile.

If downloading your profile again doesn't work, you may need to delete your profile with the steps over on this

Managing Profile page. After you delete your profile, you'll want to follow the steps to download your profile again.

In addition to what Mister Maka suggested,
check on this website if you have your account protected by Two Step Verification.

If your account is in fact protected by Two Step Verification, use the website to create a so called "App Password" (the link to create the App Password is a bit further down on that page).

Then use THAT APP PASSWORD instead of your normal password on the 360.

Also, what i found that often happens to people: Make sure that you REALLY used the SAME EMAIL for your account. For example, some people might sign up for Xbox Live on their console with "MyExampleEmail@Example.com"
but on the Xbox website accidentally create a second account by using "MyExampleEmail@Example.org"

Or use a private email on the Xbox, and on the website accidentally sign in with a work email.

Who's forcing you to buy it? You bought it on your own accord and racing games in general are easy games to pick up, and there are are so many assists for newb drivers so I don't see what the problem is.

It is an optional purchase, it's not forcing you to buy it nor is it giving you a warning saying you have to buy it or else..

Just as half wit as any dumb person with a dumb answer.

I'm thinking I have to uninstall everything and re install.

Nothing is working to resolve the issue at this point.
