    Hello support team!

    Since several months now, I have a really penible issue with my xbox one because xbox live service is not always working.

    Configuration/hardware/software:

    - Xbox one

    - Freebox

    - IPv4, static (configured correctly on the freebox admin console)

    - TCP/UDP port redirection configured and double checked (as stated on your "port redirection" support page)

    Symptoms;

    When lauching the xbox one, on the welcome page, it's like I'm not connected to the xbox live since the market, community and all other tabs are not available, and I can also see a "box/button" where it's written "connect to xbox live".

    On the other hand, when I click on this, nothing happen. Also, when I check the connection parameters, everything seems to be fine, I'm connected to my freebox, and the two tests "basic connection test" and "multiplayer connection test" are ok! (that is
    the strangest thing ^^').

    I'm not able to launch youtube or netflix for example.

    I can see some of my friends connected on the left panel, "friends and clubs" tab (but I don't know if this really reflects reality, of if it only reflects some old xbox live status...), but I'm not able to join them in a group, nor to invite them.

    Resolution:

    For information, I've already spent a lot of time with you, xbox support, mainly using the chat. And I had been told that I had to reset my console, to manufacturing settings (sorry if that's not how you call this, but anyway, I guess you get what I mean).
    I had to do it offline, using a USB key, etc, etc, etc. Same behavior after all of this.

    Last but not least : sometimes it's working fine! I mean...it has been like this for several months, but I've been watching series on netflix, using youtube, playing with friends, ...and sometimes, like tonight, there's nothing to do to resolve the issue...(of
    course, I tried to reboot my console, my freebox, multiple times - I'm connected to the internet with my laptop, connected to the same freebox, and it's working completely fine, etc).

    Would you have any idea? I'm getting tired of this issue, whereas I'm quite patient (I'm working in a technical IT support team as well...but on systems that I completely know and control, which makes a huge difference xD).

    Please let me know.

  2. No control with Freebox v6 aka Revolution

    Hi,

    I try to setup my Xbox One with my Freebox v6 aka Revolution set-up box for direct TV with partial success.

    Yes i can watch the TV with Xbox, video and sound quality is good.

    The only issue: Xbox doesn't control Freebox, no channel change or power on/off.

    Yes the HDMI-CEC is enabled on Freebox and also on TV.

    Volume control, including mute, works (applied on TV).

    When shuting down Xbox, the TV shuts down as expected, not Freebox.

    All devices are up to date, i made sure of that, but still no idea why it's not working as expected.

    Any help will be very appreciated.

    Feel free to ask for additional details or tests

    Salut Yann!

    I'm sorry to hear about the issue you're experiencing. Thank you for listing out all the steps you've tried as well, that's helpful. One thing I didn't see mentioned was if you were using your Xbox One console via Ethernet cable or Wi-Fi, however.

    This will sound incredibly basic (and potentially stupid) however next time you experience this issue, can you try signing out of your profile then back in? So open up the left hand menu try and manually signing out, then back in. Don't remove your account
    or restart your console - just sign out and back in. If that doesn't help, can you try connecting your console via Ethernet cable? (Or Wi-Fi if you're currently using an Ethernet cable.)

    Hopefully that helps but do keep us posted either way!

    - Of course, when trying to analyze the issue, I tried with ethernet cable, multiple times, but this doesn't change a single thing (when it's not working in wifi, it's not working with ethernet cable, when it's working fine, it's working fine with both wifi
    and ethernet cable as well, no difference)

    - I also disconnected/reconnected my profile multiple times, with no result.

    Really, this issue seems to be independant from any web settings, or xbox settings (at least from I can modify/change as a basic user through the xbox parameters or freebox admin interface).

    As I said, the connection tests are ok on the xbox, it's working fine on my laptop as well (and even after a reset of the console, a reset of the account, etc..., I had the same behavior sometimes), so it seems to be something more related to the firmware,
    or a failure when launching the console and initiating the profile settings/connection...only my humble guess...In fact, when it's working (when I start the console):

    - I face the green screen "xbox",

    - then the "homepage", not always completely loaded (market and stuff are not available, button for xbox live connection visible - it often takes one or two seconds at this step, which is fine to me)

    - then all settings, preferences, market, golden offers, etc....are being loaded and available.

    When it's not working, that third step is not happening. That is to say, my profile is connected, but that's all. Also, as I said in previous post, it's like I have the status of my friend on xbox live, but cannot reach them.

    Please let me know if you have any other ideas, I'm ready to test ^^

    Thanks for the extra info. Hmm. Are you able to bring your Xbox One to a friend's house to see if this happens there maybe? I know this isn't ideal or optimal but it will definitely help try to narrow down the issue a bit.

    Thanks for the extra info. Hmm. Are you able to bring your Xbox One to a friend's house to see if this happens there maybe? I know this isn't ideal or optimal but it will definitely help try to narrow down the issue a bit.

    Thank you for posting on Xbox Forums! At this time, as our chat support agent has confirmed, you will not be able to connect the Freebox to the Xbox One console. If you are trying to connect the Xbox one to your Freebox as a WiFi source, you will not
    be able to do so as the two are not compatible with one another. I would suggest trying to find another source to connect to when trying to connect to a WiFi connection.
