xbox live isnt working

The first thing you should check is if the place you bought the code are trustful. If you got the card that you have to scratch it to see the code, you shouldn't have any problem.

The second thing is to check the live status:
support.xbox.com/xbox-live-status

The third is to try the code in the website:

- Sign in at http://www.xbox.com/

- Click in your gamer tag at the top of the page and select Redeem a Code

- Click Redeem button

- Enter the 25-digit code and click Confirm.

If it still doesn't work, click in support on the top, then in Billing and at the bottom look for the Contact Us button. They can reapply the code for you.

Sorry to hear it. Your tag is showing as having a Gold membership so odds are the code went through fine for you. You can also check your membership status at the following link:

If you cannot access Live enabled services such as online multiplayer please try power cycling the console by holding the power button on it for 10 seconds or by deleting your gamertag, power cycling and then redownloading it.

The migration tool only works if the region you are migrating to is an xbox live region

I have this problem too, ever since the recent update i cannot connect to xbox live properly. However I decided to try a wired a connection and now it works. Perhaps the recent update broke the slims Wi-Fi?
